Athletic Fields

Athletic Fields

Restrooms and drinking fountains closed thru 2/28/18 for winterization (portalets onsite)

The City of Wylie is pleased to provide athletic fields for our citizens to enjoy. Our priority is to provide high-quality fields for recreational youth sports such as football, softball, baseball, and soccer. We partner with local leagues to provide recreational sports programming for the children of Wylie. For a listing of the leagues we work with, please see our league information page here.

Game Fields

Game fields are located at Founders Park (soccer, football, and softball) and Community Park (baseball). Practice fields are available at many locations throughout the city and may be used on a first-come, first-served basis at no cost. See below for a list of parks with backstops and soccer goals.

In order to preserve the field turf, the game fields at Founders Park and Community Park are reserved for exclusive use by the youth sports leagues during the spring and fall seasons. We allocate field space to the leagues each spring and fall, and only authorize those leagues to use the fields. Some leagues choose to practice on their allocated game fields, and we allow this use as part of the field use agreement we have with each league. Unauthorized use of the game fields during the spring and fall sports seasons is not allowed. (City of Wylie Ordinance # 2005-37).

The spring season runs from Feb. 15 until June 14, and the fall season runs from Aug. 15 until Dec. 14.
