Turn-around time for residential permits is 5-10 business days.

Saturday Inspections

Beginning October 1st, 2011 we will be doing Saturday Inspections once a quarter. These will done for the homeowners with in the City by appointment only. The dates will be October 15, 2011, January 21, 2012, April 21, 2012 and July 21, 2012. Please call 972-516-6420 to schedule your inspection.

Mission
The mission of City of Wylie Building Inspection Department is to create and maintain a safe and healthy environment by reasonable enforcement of the codes, providing efficient customer service, and ensuring quality in the design, construction, and use of properties within the city. This is done through review of requests for permits, confirming compliance with all local codes and ordinances, inspection of new construction projects and inspection of existing buildings for code compliance, and issuance of licenses and construction permits.
