Inspections

There will be no inspections on November 8, 2013 due to all day inspector training. Inspections will resume on November 11,2013.

Turn Around time for residential permits is 5 - 10 business days.

Termite Inspection and Final Drainage Survey

Effective April 1st, 2012 all new home permits applied for on or after April 1st, 2012 will be required to have a Final Drainage Survey with a licensed surveyor or registered professional engineer's seal as well as a Final Termite Inspection Report using the City of Wylie Termite form. The above mentioned originals must be left onsite for the inspector to pick up at the building final.

The mission of City of Wylie Building Inspection Department is to create and maintain a safe and healthy environment by reasonable enforcement of the codes, providing efficient customer service, and ensuring quality in the design, construction, and use of properties within the city. This is done through review of requests for permits, confirming compliance with all local codes and ordinances, inspection of new construction projects and inspection of existing buildings for code compliance, and issuance of licenses and construction permits.
